CRADLEY look to get their play-off bid back on track when they face Stoke at Monmore Green next Tuesday.

The Heathens have suffered a bad spell but are still in with a chance of securing a top four spot – especially after Belle Vue slipped up at home last week.

They have two home meetings left at their adopted Wolverhampton track, against the Potters and Kent, and four away meetings including a trip to Kent on Monday.

Heathens boss Will Pottinger has also moved to plug the gap vacated by James Purchase’s injury by bringing former Heathen Tyler Govier back to the club after is release from the Isle of Wight.

Skipper Max Clegg insists the club are looking to end the season on a high.

He said: "It hasn't exactly been easy right from day one but we've always done just about enough to keep us in contention.

"We always knew our home form was going to be so important but we've struggled away from home a lot more than we expected to.

"There has been a good feel around the place but that week where we lost to Birmingham at home and then got beaten at Mildenhall really hurt us all a bit.

"We were suddenly worrying about what other teams were doing and that's something we're not used to doing at Cradley.

"A few results have gone our way in the last week or so, so now we need to start over again and make sure we get in those play-offs.

"We've got some really big meetings coming up and it's an important month for the team.

"I think the meetings home and away to Kent could be big but the one away at Belle Vue could be a decider in some ways.

"We need to make sure we get another home win against Stoke next week though.

"We don't want to let the fans down so now it's time for us to pull it all together again and finish the year on a high."
