HALESOWEN Town boss John Hill says confidence is high ahead this Saturday's FA Cup clash with Nantwich Town.

The Yeltz extended their unbeaten run to six games with a 2-1 league victory over bottom-placed Ilkeston on Tuesday night.

That backed up an away point at Barwell last Saturday and continued Town's turn around in form following a difficult start to the season.

Hill said: "The FA Cup game is massive for everyone involved with the club. It has been too many years since the club went on a good cup run, so it would be great if we could make that happen.

"We have a few absences for the game but regardless of that confidence is very high at the moment. That comes from winning games and hopefully we can carry that into the cup game."

Those missing Saturday's third qualifying round tie include cup-tied Lee Chilton and loanee Kennedy Digie, who is not being allowed to play be parent club Kidderminster Harriers.

Hill was delighted with the win over Ilkeston and thinks there is still plenty more to come from his side.

"It was a slow start to the season but we changed our shape a little, brought in new personnel and confidence has grown.

"It's good to be one an unbeaten run and I think there is a lot of improvement left in the side as well.

"The Ilkeston result was very pleasing except for the fact we conceded a very late goal. That spoilt it a little but the main thing was we turned the Barwell draw into a good point by backing it up with a home win."

The Yeltz boss also praised red-hot striker Kaiman Anderson. The forward bagged his third brace of the season in the Ilkeston victory to make it seven goals in the last seven games for the on-loan Shrewsbury man.

Hill added: "Kaiman, like the team, took a while to get going but is now getting the rewards for his hard work.

"We know what he is capable of and it is good to see him in the goals. Even when he wasn't finding the net he was working for the team."

Meanwhile, Halesowen will host the FA Cup trophy at the Grove this Saturday after being crowned the latest winners of the Emirates FA Cup Club of the Round award.

The prize has been introduced this season to recognise qualifying-round clubs for their efforts in advertising their games to drive attendance plus raise recognition and awareness of non-league football.

The Yeltz will be presented with the trophy this Saturday as well as getting to host the famous silverware.
