CHAIRMAN Steve Austin says everyone at the club is working hard to turn around Dudley Town's season.

The Robins have only won two games so far and sit third from bottom of the West Midlands Premier League.

The team's poor form continued last Saturday with a 4-1 home defeat against Wellington Amateurs.

Debutant Matt Pinder, on-loan from Stourport Swifts, handed his side the lead before the visitors struck just before the break. A dominant second half display from Wellington made sure they took maximum points.

Austin said: "There was nothing in the game in the first half but we didn't carry that forward into the second half. They controlled the game after the break and deserved to win.

"It is hard to put the finger on the issue at the moment because we have show we are capable of causing problems for teams higher up the table.

"We've have been in this position before and we know hard tough it is but it's not for the want of hard work by the management team, players and throughout the whole club.

"It is now a case of pulling together as a club to turn things around.

"We can't just bring in better players with the budget we have so it won't happen overnight. We have to just keep plugging away, working on things in training and make small steps to where we want to be.

"We've had trouble getting our best team together but when everyone is available we are a strong side."

Town are set to take on Racing Club Warwick in the Birmingham Mid-week Floodlit Cup tonight before going to Smethwick this Saturday.
