BOSS Gary Hackett says he's delighted that FA Cup fever has returned to Stourbridge.

The Glassboys sent National League South side Whitehawk crashing out of the competition with another memorable night at the War Memorial Ground.

A double from striker Luke Benbow after Chris Lait's second half opener handed Stour a 3-0 win and a place in the second round for the fourth time in six seasons.

A clash with League One side Northampton Town now awaits Hackett's men.

He said: “It has been another amazing, fantastic night and we thoroughly deserved it,"

"I thought in the first half we were the better team but I did say their was more to come from us. In the second half we have steamrollered it. The team was amazing, defensively and all through the side.

"I thought we were very good when we beat Kidderminster down here and I thought at Dover we were exceptional, but this performance is up there.

Looking ahead to the next round he added: "It'll be a complete sell out and we've got cup fever again in the town.

"We should enjoy these days, that's why we work so hard. He have a bit of disappoint and criticism at time but then you get rewarded.

"There is a lot of hard work that goes into it. Some people think we're a lucky cup team but there is a lot of hard work that goes into it.

"We've certainly had no luck with five away draws this time. I think it's the hardest run but we've been rewarded tonight and I'm delighted for everyone connected with the club."
