THERE'S no stopping Cradley Town at the moment as they continue to climb up the West Midlands League table after pulling off a 2-1 win over Hereford side Pegasus Juniors.

First half goals from Geoff Hill and Croatian striker Dreniz Bala put Cradley in the driving seat before Pegasus pulled a goal back in the second half when Lewis Clarke turned a Liam Jones cross into his own net.

Both sides were reduced to 10 men when Cradley's Joseph Drake-Cervantes was sent off after clashing with Pegasus player Anthony Robbins who also saw red.

Cradley boss Andy Wyton said: "Pegasus posed a physical challenge and got stuck into us, but we stood up to it. They tried to rough us up, but it didn't work!

Wyton will look to make further progress up the table when they travel to third from bottom Wellington Amateurs on Saturday, the Shropshire side having shipped nine goals last week against Shifnal Town.

Wyton quipped. "I don't mind if the result is 1-0 as long as we win."

Busy Wyton hopes to bring back former Cradley player Grant Joshua from Dudley Town together with Tipton Youth's Carl Whyte in time to face the Amateurs.
