LYE Town FC's ladies set up a mouth-watering local derby away against Stourbridge in the third round of the Birmingham County Cup, after easing passed Marston Green.
Despite Lye hitting the woodwork three times, it remained goalless at the break. However four goals in the first twelve minutes of the second half effectively sealed the victory, with two further goals adding a more realistic score line as Lye dominated throughout.
Final score: Marston Green 0 Lye Town 6. Goals came from Chloe Handy (2), Clare Williamson (2), Hannah Boxley and Robyn Hingley. The third round tie is due to be played on January 15.
Lye return to league action when they welcome Burton Albion to Stourbridge Road on Sunday, kick off 2pm
