DEFENDER Dan Scarr's FA Cup heroics for Stourbridge have put him on the radar of West Bromwich Albion.

Scarr, who scored in Stour's 2-1 defeat at Wycombe last Saturday, will spend a few days this week training with the Premier League side.

Glassboys Boss Gary Hackett explained: “We’ve had enquiries about Dan from a number of clubs, and West Brom have asked to take a look at him. He’s gone over there with our blessing and we’ll see what develops. The ball is in their court.

“Dan is under contract with us at the present time, but I’d like to think we wouldn’t stand in the way of any player progressing. Dan’s been playing really well lately and it’s no surprise one or two people are taking notice."

The 22-year old centre-back joined Stourbridge from Redditch United in the summer of 2015, making his debut against his old club in a pre-season Worcestershire Senior Cup tie at the Valley.

He has since amassed 83 appearances for the Glassboys and scored 11 goals, including the winner against Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Trophy last season, and three in this season’s history-making Emirates FA Cup campaign.

In recent weeks, with Jack Duggan returning from injury, the duo have forged a commanding defensive partnership, with just one goal conceded in the last six League and FA Cup games prior to Saturday.
