WINGER Chris Lait has left Stourbridge to join National League side Solihull Moors.

Lait joined the Glassboys in early 2015 and made a total of 98 appearances (90 starts and eight as a substitute), scoring 22 goals.

Last season saw his involvement restricted by injury and illness, and he consequently found it difficult to capture his best form much of the time. However, he played a significant part in the Glassboys' FA Cup adventure, scoring at Mickleover Sports in the second qualifying round, and then lashing in the opening goal in the 3-0 replay win at home to Whitehawk in the first round proper.

The attacker said: "I would like to thank the supporters, players and backroom staff at Stourbridge FC for their support over the last two-and-a-half seasons.

"There have been some unforgettable moments during this period, including the FA Cup First Round win away to Dover and last season's historic run to the third round.

"Unfortunately my time at the club has come to an end. I'm gutted that we couldn't secure promotion at the end of what has been a tough season for me with injuries, but the club is on the right path and it is only a matter of time until it makes the jump up to step six.

"I will always keep a close eye on and look out for Stourbridge's results and I am convinced that, with the chairman, excellent coaching staff and playing squad currently in place, next season will be a successful one for the club."
