THE 2017/18 Beacon League campaign saw Dynamo Dudley secure a memorable hat-trick of triumphs, including lifting the Beacon Championship for a third successive year.

Such was their domination on the Beacon Sunday League front, Dynamo also made it three consecutive wins in the Lester Charity Cup and emerged victorious in the Martyn Chell Cup.

Elsewhere, AFC Pensnett Panthers won a dramatic penalty shoot out to claim the Clinton Cup, while league runners up were Old Cross Athletic.

The leading goalscorer award went to Codsall Station striker Liam Davies who finished the season with a total of 32 goals, just edging out Ben Hickman (Dynamo) and Kyle Matthews (Claregate) who both hit 31.

Secretary of the year was Claregate's Gary Cooper, with the new team secretary of the year trophy was won by Paul Best of Black Country Rangers, who also secured the league's fair play award.

Picking up the league's hospitality award were third place outfit Shere Punjab Wolves, with Adrian Horton voted referee of the year.

Applications are still being received for the 2018/19 Beacon league campaign which will kick off on Sunday, September 2.

As well as the main Beacon Championship, the league will also operate next term with a new development division which will cater for new teams and those moving into adult football for the first time.
