ROWLEY Regis' Tyler Denny will warm-up for his English title tilt with six round bill topper at Walsall Town Hall next month.

Last week, the BCB signed boxer received news from the British Boxing Board of Control that he will compete for the English crown.

The Midlands Area Middleweight Champion has been mandated to face Leeds’ Reece Cartwright.

With the contest out at purse bids, BCB’s Head of Boxing, Errol Johnson, has moved quickly to get Denny out in readiness for his title clash.

“It’s important to get Tyler out,” Johnson said. “Tyler’s last fight was a six-rounder in May so he needs a few rounds in before starting camp for the Cartwright fight.”

Also on the 'England Awaits' bill, which will take place at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday, July 21 is BCB’s new signing, super bantamweight James Beech Junior. The Bloxwich native, was who made the switch from MTK Global last month, is joined by fellow Walsall boxers super lightweight Shaun Cooper and Levi Ferguson, who debuts at super welterweight.

Wolverhampton cruiserweight Antony Woolery is also in action alongside Birmingham bantamweight Ijaz Ahmed.

Tickets, priced at £35 standard unreserved and £65 VIP Ringside, are on sale now from the Walsall Town Hall Box Office 0845 111 2900.

The weigh-in and after show party will take place at Grosvenor Casino Walsall, Bentley Mill Drive, Walsall, which sponsors the event.
