WEST Midlands Police head the Stourbridge Snooker League's Premier League by one solitary point from Langley based Hotshots SC at the half way stage of the season.

The Police held onto their lead after copping a 5-0 victory over Netherton Sports and Social where Gavin Sloan, Pete Gibbons, Maria Catalano Mark Sheehan and Kev Franklin helped them their ninth win in a row since losing the opening game.

Hotshots helped themselves to a 4-1 win at Pockets SC B, Milan Krstanovic in particular good touch with a 45 break.

Dave Green, Rob Howden and Roy Stokes, who took a respotted black to hand Danny Rees only his second defeat, while Gavin Evans edged a frame for Pockets.

Brandhall Labour bagged a high quality 3-2 win over Norton Social A.

Steve Mason and Ashley Aston with a 49 break won well for Norton, but Alan Hooper, Callum Downing with a 64 break and Bai Sembi who made a 55 break in the deciding frame, securing the victory.

Ash Siddaway was in particular good form for Amblecote Institute A with breaks of 42 and 32 as his side despatched Pockets SC A 5-0.

Gregg Reece made 38, but couldn't prevent Kingswinford RBL A losing 3-2 against Moor Pool and Snooker A.
