HALESOWEN Town boss John Hill couldn't hide his delight this week as the Yeltz moved to within a point of league leaders Leek Town following victories over Lincoln United and Romulus this week.

Two well taken strikes from Aaron Grtiffiths was enough to give the Yeltz a 2-1 win over Lincoln.

Griffiths struck again in the 2-0 success at Romuluson Monday, who play on Sutton Coldfield Town's 3-G pitch after Joe Hull had given the Yeltz a lead moments earlier.

The Yeltz will be getting quite familiar with 3-G pitches as they return to Coles Lane this Saturday to take on Sutton Coldfield, who are directly behind them in Evo Stik League Northern Division One South.

Hill has brought in striker Kyle Patterson on loan from Redditch United to replace the absent Ben Haseley, who is still sidelined with an eye injury.

The Yeltz boss claimed: "The most important thing is that we're scoring goals and winning games without Ben - which would have been unheard of previously.

"With Kyle coming in, it's given me plenty of options up front with Iyesden Christie and Nigel Penney also available.

Hill will be present at an Open Fans Forum in the James Grove Lounge next Tuesday, December 17 starting at 7-30pm.

CRADLEY Town clinched a 5-2 win over Wolverhampton Sporting Community this week to remain firmly established in the West Midlands League top six.

Boss Nigel Birch brought in striker Corey Pearce, who he'd previously worked with at Hednesford Town, while on leave from the army.

Pearce plundered a goal, but was upstaged when replaced by Jimmy Welnitchuk, who struck twice in as many minutes.

Chris Bladen and Scott Devlin also struck the target.

Cradley visit Hereford based Pegasus Juniors this Saturday when Birch hopes to have Alvechurch central defender available to him on loan.
