Mole pleased after Causeway show spirit to bounce back from loss

CAUSEWAY UNITED manager Andy Mole has praised the attitude of his players after they beat Dunkirk in the Midland Football Alliance.

Causeway bounced back in good style on Tuesday night to win 6-1 at home. The result pleased Mole because it followed a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Loughborough University last Saturday.

"Loughborough are a well drilled side and can play some good football. We did have our chances but didn't really make enough of them," said Mole.

"I was pleased with the Dunkirk win because it showed a good reaction from the players. That is just what you want to see," he said.

It was Aaron Lloyd who opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Sam Rock was brought down in the Dunkirk area. Rock then hit a second before Ryan Francis Mills made it 3-0 to Causeway at the break.

More goals for Rock and Lloyd in the second period and a good individual effort from Jack Pearlman sealed the win.

Manager Mole also revealed he will be looking to bolster his squad for the final months of the season.

"We will have suspensions and injuries and games will come thick and fast. I will be looking to strengthen to squad so that we are in a better position to tackle the run-in," he added.

Causeway's next game sees them taking on Walsall Wood away on Tuesday, March 11.
