STOURBRIDGE FC youth team boss Dave King is inviting applications from players to take part in trials for the 2014-15 season.

The Glassboys youth side has been the most successful U18 youth team in the area over the past five years, playing in the best youth league in the Midlands.

With several of last season’s side no longer eligible, King is looking for several new players with good technical ability, sound temperament and a willingness to learn.

John Purdie, a well-respected coach, UEFA qualified and ex- professional footballer with Wolves, will be joining the existing management set-up for next season.

Trialists must be over 15 and under 18 before August 31, 2014 in order to be eligible for consideration.

Applications are required as soon as possible and applicants will be notified by e-mail or telephone whether they have been successful or not.

Trials will be held on Monday, June 16, Thursday, June 19, Monday, June 23 and Thursday, June 26, after which the final squad for the season will be selected and notified.

Applications must be sent by e-mail to Dave King at dave@soccerkings.co.uk.

Applications must contain the following details: full name and address, date of birth, height and weight, any health issues, contact telephone number, email address, playing position, current club and league, previous clubs, clubs contracted to (if any), and representative honours gained (school, district, county).

If selected, trialists will be required to bring to the trials the appropriate footwear, drinks, shin pads and medication.
