SAM Bulmer’s hat-trick helped Halas Hawks West under-9 east to a 4-2 win over Amblecote.

The striker’s goals proved the difference in a closely fought game which had been level at half-time after Nathan France’s opener.

The U9s East started strongly against Penn Colts taking the lead with a long range shot from Charlie Greening but could not maintain the momentum and eventuallly lost 2-1.

The U10s East recorded a hard fought 2-0 victory over a well organised Forest Falcons side thanks to goals from Jordan Berry and a wonder strike from Oliver Downing.

Mohammed Yafai got five goals as the U12s ran riot at Netherton to win 14-0. Other goals came from coming from Mohammed Mohammed (4) Josh Horton (2), Ben Jeavons, Matthew Evans and Joe Wythes.

Dominic Hipkiss put the U13s in front against Kewford but the visitors hit back to win 2-1, while the U14s East were twice pegged back by Withymoor East to draw 2-2. Dan Willetts scored both goals for Halas.

Girls League A magical solo effort from Megan Hawley set the U10s on course for a 7-0 thrashing of Kewford. Further goals came from Hannah Fellows (2), Charlotte Fereday (2), Kirsty Hampton and a marvelous looping lob over the keeper from Maddison Eden.

The U12s were never in trouble in their 12-1 win over Santiago Colts with goals coming from Louise Tromans (4), Amy Plimmer (4), Esme Moran (2), Bethan Bryan and Abigail Gennard.

Sophie Pritchard and Sophie Blount shared two goals each as the U13s edged a seven goal thriller with Withymoor.

Gina Goode put in a superb defensive performance as Halas hung on.

The U15s won by the same scoreline against Netherton. Halas settled quicker though and went in at half time two up thanks to Liz McAleenan and Lauren Taylor only for Netherton to rally after the break and go ahead 3-2 lead.

Player of the match, McAllenan, struck an equalizer before Kate Drew scored a fine solo effort with ten minutes to go to seal the points.
