STOURBRIDGE have been boosted by the return of popular left-sided midfielder Sean Evans on a months loan from AFC Telford United.

Evans signed for the Shropshire outfit in November, but has been in and out of their side since then and hopes a move back to Amblecote will give him the chance to play regularly again and re-capture his best form.

It will also prove a timely boost to the Glassboys playing strength ahead of a busy schedule of fixtures over the next few weeks.

Evans joined Stour in August and enjoyed an excellent three months at the club, playing a key role in the Glassboys run to the first round of the FA Cup.

Highlights included a stunning hat-trick in the 6-1 third round replay win at Hucknall Town.

Stourbridge will also be hoping to hang on to another young star in the shape of defender Sam Smith, who is the subject of a seven day approach from rivals Halesowen Town.

The centre back has been one of the club's most consistent performers this term and turned down a move to Hednesford Town last month.
