GARY Hackett has admitted Stourbridge’s pursuit of striker Ben Haseley may prove fruitless.
Haseley received rave reviews for his performances at Halesowen Town during the second-half of the season and the Glassboys are among a number of suitors.
Hackett confirmed he had made an offer to Haseley but believes the striker may favour a club closer to his Cannock home.
He said: “I have made him an offer and we are still waiting for him to come back to us.
“But he lives in Cannock and I know there are a number of teams up there who are also interested including the likes of Stafford Rangers, Rushall and Hednesford. They are all on his doorstep and I think that may make it tough for us.
“He is one of a number of players I am talking to.”
