ON a testing cross country course at Leamington in terrible conditions Dudley and Stourbridge Harriers (DASH) younger athletes continued to impress in the second meeting of the West Midlands Cross Country League.
In the U13 girls race all showed an improvement from the first race, with Molly Whitehouse the first runner home for DASH in 29th, and Danielle Bradburn in 43rd giving good support.
Jessica Rowley had an excellent run to finish 76th, with Carrisa Fullwood 103rd, Amelia Stubbs 123rd and Elanor Jordan 138th completing the team.
The U13s boys maintained their position of ninth, thanks to good runs from Brandon Sibley 21st, Bradley Bridgewater, Alex Ashfield and Joshua Cartwright as did Andrew Mason together with Thomas Bardsley and Peter Oliver in the U15s race.
In the U17s women's race Emily Whitehouse was 19th and Nathan Fulwwod 31st, Ben Lamming 52nd and Adam Staves 57th in the U17 men's event.
