Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo was pleased with the character his players showed to fight back and secure a draw on their Premier League return – but still wants improvement moving forward.

The runaway Sky Bet Championship winners twice came from behind to take a point from 10-man Everton at Molineux last Saturday.

Raul Jimenez struck with 10 minutes remaining following Ruben Neves’ earlier free-kick, with Richarlison having twice put the visitors ahead.

Phil Jagielka’s red card no doubt helped Wolves to a share of the spoils on their return to the top-flight but Nuno was content with his team.

“I think we did a good game,” he said at his press conference ahead of Saturday’s short trip to face Leicester.

“We didn’t start very well and that is one of the things we need to improve but I was happy with the demonstration of character and we realise we have a tough challenge in front of us.

“We try to improve for tomorrow, everyone handled the situation well after the first game so we are looking forward to tomorrow, the past is the past.”

The likes of Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho made their Wolves debuts following a raft of summer signings by the club.

But their biggest deals were to land winger Adama Traore from Middlesbrough and Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht.

Neither of those started against the Toffees but are in contention to make their bows at the King Power Stadium this time out.
