A Dudley gym can boast their very own fabulous four after picking up a string of incredible wins at the British Masters Powerlifting Championships.

The Powerpress Gym claimed four gold medals on Sunday at the Birmingham-based event.

In the over 50s category there were victories for Paul Barnbrook and Joga Singh.

Barnbrook, aged 51, claimed the 100kg category crown with a combined lift total of 665 kgs, while Singh, also aged 51, picked up the 82.5kg prize with a finishing total of 555kgs.

In the over 40s section there was victory for British international Jaswinder Singh.

The 43-year-old lifted a combined weight of 760kgs to take first place in the 90kg category.

Also celebrating success was gym owner Phil Guise.

The 48-year-old walked away with the over 40s 82.5kg title after lifting a combined weight of 622.5kgs.

A delighted Phil said: "It was a great achievement for the club.

"For four winners to come from the same area is good but for from the same gym is incredible.

"I suppose it keeps the youngsters interested and on their toes as well when they see us old ones still winning."
