Round-up
Lions tamed
Sandwell Caterline /ACC Lions took a trip to Leicester on Sunday with an heavy defeat for their troubles.
The Lions went down 110-69 but put up a spirited display.
There were good performances by Lee Smith who claimed 15 points, as well as Russ Evans and Paul Heard who backed him all the way with 12 points each.
In the second team match, Sandwell gained victory with a 68 points to 59 win.
Matt Smith who is having a great start to the season was unbeaten and Scott Millward dropped just one point to leave with 15 points.
Any victory by visiting teams on this big track, is a great achievement, because Leicester do not lose many home matches at any level.
Training nights are Thursday's 7pm to 9pm at Tividale Sports Centre, anyone interested in having a go on a cycle-speedway bike are welcome.
