Dudley Town boss, Dean Whitehouse, is urging his mis-firing strikers to find their killer instinct in front of goal after watching his side pick up back to back draws.

Whitehouse witnessed his side draw 2-2 away at second placed Tividale after conceding an injury time equaliser followed, by 1-1 at home to Pelsall Villa on Saturday.

Despite having scorer Jordan Tipper dismissed for dissent after 15 minutes the manager believes they still should have picked up all three points Whitehouse, who has now guided his troops to a seven game unbeaten run, said: "We need to start killing teams off.

"I can't fault the attitude of the players and the style of football we are playing. It's just frustrating to see us miss the amount of chances we are.

"I am actively trying to bring in a new face to complement the forwards we have here and there are currently a couple of seven day approaches for a couple of players but as it always is in these situations we will have to wait and see what happens."

The boss as now firmly fixed is attention to Saturday's home clash with Wednesfield.

The visitors currently sit two places below Town in sixth in the West Midlands Premier Division and a mouth-watering encounter at the Dell Stadium (3pm kick off) looks on the cards.

Whitehouse added: "It's a big game on Saturday and one we are looking forward to.

"Thankfully we have no midweek game so we will be able to get a couple of productive training sessions and be fresh for the game.

Dudley Sports' impressive 11 game unbeaten run came to an end last Saturday after they were beaten 2-1 away AT Shawbury United.

Sports put in a lacklustre showing but they will now be hoping to bounce back from the defeat when they travel to neighbours Lye Town (3pm kick off).

One club on the up is Brierley Hill and Withymoor who picked up back to back wins and scored 11 goals in the process.

Following their amazing 8-4 win at home to Ellesmere Rangers the newly formed side travelled to Wellington on Saturday and picked up an impressive 3-0 win.

Tony Gore's men will now hope to keep their charge up the West Midlands Premier Division going when they travel to Tipton Sports Academy on Saturday to take on Bustleholme.

United are now unbeaten in six games in the Midland Alliance after beating local rivals Cradley Town 2-0 at Amblecote on Tuesday evening.
