Dudley Sports' impressive run of form in the West Midlands Premier Division continued on Saturday has they picked up their first ever league win over local rivals Lye Town.
Sports 1-0 derby day victory at Stourbridge Road now sees them sitting comfortably inside the top ten and joint manager Neil Perks is delighted with the way his young guns have taken to the task.
He said: "Everything's going well and we are very encouraged by the way the lads are playing.
"There are six players who are 18 or under in the team at the moment so it's been brilliant to see how they have taken to the job with us only losing one game out of the last 14.
"We feel like the club is moving in the right direction but we are not going to get ahead of ourselves, instead we are just going to keep enjoying our football and see where that takes us."
Sports will hope to keep their good run of form going when they welcome Pelsall Villa to Hillcrest Avenue on Saturday (3pm kick off).
Meanwhile, Lye will be back in derby action when they travel to fellow strugglers Gornal Athletic on Saturday (3pm kick off).
Dudley Town manager Dean Whitehouse is confident he's pulled off a major transfer coup by snapping up Tividale striker Luke Reynolds.
Whitehouse was left fuming after seeing his side slump to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Wednesfield last Saturday so Reynolds's surprise arrival could not have come at a better time.
The manager said: "Saturday was very disappointing and the players were told that in no uncertain terms what I thought.
"We have now released a few lads because we need more quality rather quantity.
"We have been able to bring in Luke and I'm sure he will be a big signing for us.
"He's a good friend of mine and he's knows what me and Dave (Smith) are trying to do so it should be interesting to see how he gets on."
The fifth placed Robins will now hope to bounce back from the loss when they host fourth placed Bewdley on Saturday.
The fixture will be played at Lye Town's, Stourbridge Road ground, while work continues on the floodlights at their Dell Stadium home.
Brierley Hill and Withymoor were unlucky to leave Tipton Sports Academy without a point after going down 1-0 away at Bustleholme.
Saturday sees them back in action when they entertain bottom of the table Bromyard at The Grove (3pm kick off).
