Ready and raring to go

Causeway United boss Carl Burley believes his players will be raring to go over the Easter weekend as they bid to finish in the club's highest ever league position.

United currently sit fifth in the Midland Alliance but after a weekend off they will now go into Saturday's home clash against Biddulph (3pm kick off) and Monday's visit to Studley feeling fresh.

Burley said: "All we will be doing is taking each game as it comes and not get too ahead of ourselves.

"Our aim is to finish higher than we have ever done before , which is 11th but also to stay in the top six.

"We've got seven games left and I think five wins from them would be enough to see us achieve that.

"Following a weekend off we will go into the Easter weekend fresh and raring to go.

"The break has given a few of the lads with minor knocks a chance to recover, which has been good."

Two players who will be absent through injury however are key men Danny Priest (knee) and Matt Webb (calf).
