Stourbridge FC manager Gary Hackett was a happy man after his side knocked bitter rivals Halesowen Town out of the Worcestershire Senior Cup for the second season on the trot.
Hackett's men produced a fine battling display to come from a goal down to claim a memorable 2-1 win over their old adversaries who had Ron Atkinson in the dug out alongside new boss Morell Maison.
The Glassboys boss was delighted with the latest victory which has seen his chargesstretch their winning run to an amazing eight games.
Hackett (pictured) said: "It was nice to beat Halesowen because they are big rivals and to knock them out of this competition for the second season on the bounce was particularly pleasing.
"I thought it was real thrilling cup tie played in the right way.
"I was delighted with our second half showing because we battled hard while playing with plenty of quality."
The Glassboys are now preparing for two tough tests in the space of four days as they return to BGB Midlands Division One action.
They travel to Leighton Town on Saturday before welcoming Sutton Coldfield Town to Amblecote next Tuesday.
Both side's have already beaten Stourbridge this season so Hackett knows his players will have to be at the top of their games if they want to stretch their winning run.
He added: "We are on a real rich vein of form at the moment but we will not be getting carried away.
"We know have two tough games starting with an away game at Leighton who have already beaten us this season and we know if we are to keep this run going we will need to be at our best."
Adam Bastable is likely to be the only player missing as he continues his road to recovery from a knee ligament injury.
