Stourbridge RFC U16s recorded their first ever victory over Five Ways Old Edwardians in a thrilling encounter at Stourton Park on Sunday.

Straight from the kick-off the Stourbridge forwards exerted pressure on the Five Ways line and were unlucky not to score. For the next twenty five minutes both sides defended well without any score until just before the break when Kyle Lockley followed up a kick through from Sam Baker to score near to the posts for Baker to convert to make the half time score 7-5.

In the second half Stour played their best defensive rugby of the season with backs and forwards tackling and rucking well to deny Five Ways any score.

In the last ten minutes Five Ways were awarded several penalties which they chose to run and at the final whistle the score remained 7-5 to jubilant Stourbridge.
