THE Glassboys' dreams of making it an incredible 11 wins out of 11 were shattered when they travelled to FA Cup giantkillers Chasetown on Saturday.
Stourbridge went down 3-2 in the BGB Midlands Division One encounter and in the process slipped down the table to third.
Manager Gary Hackett felt his side were unlucky to come away from the game without a point.
He said: "People were telling me after the game it was a really entertaining game, but I don't want to be involved in such games if we haven't got anything to show for it.
"Chasetown are very good side and fielded the same side that had beaten Port Vale in mid-week but I believed we deserved something even though a few of the players were below their usual standards."
Hackett will now hope to get his side back on track when they travel to Bedworth on Saturday , he was still proud of his players for going on such a great run of wins.
He said: "It was an excellent run we went on but we knew it was going to end at some point.
"It's now a case of putting this defeat behind us and getting back to winning ways."
Hackett will be without leading striker Mark Bellingham (holiday) and Ross Collins (suspension) for the Bedworth clash.
Both players are likely to be back in contention for the Boxing Day clash with Willenhall Town at the War Memorial Ground (noon kick off).
Causeway United bounced back from their disapponting FA Vase exit with a well-earned point away at league leaders Startford Town in the Midland Alliance on Saturday.
A superb second half showing finally paid dividends when Chris Busby levelled things up in the dying minutes.
United will host Westfields on Saturday at the War Memorial (3pm kick off) before tarvelling across the borough to face bottom of the table Cradley Town on Boxing Day.
