Martin makes moves
Play-off pushing Stourbridge FC have bolstered their squad with the addition of live-wire striker Callum Martin to their ranks.
The 22-year-old Dudley-based forward was snapped up by manager Gary Hackett from Midland Alliance outfit Tipton Town.
The Dudley frontman is well-known in the area having previously had spells with Gornal Athletic and Tividale.
Hackett is delighted to have been able to bring the striker in as the Glassboys fight for a BGB Midlands Division One play-off berth.
He said: "I'm delighted to have Callum on board.
"One thing he's got is plenty of pace.
"He's a little bit raw but he's certainly a live-wire and can do the unexpected.
"With Ryan Broadhurst out injured and Paul Danks and Lee Bullimore still not up to full-fitness he will give us that little bit extra."
Martin made his Glassboys debut as a second half substitute in Tuesday evenings 1-0 win at home To BIshops Cleeve.
The victory came courtesy of a 25th minute header from James Dyson.
Craig Slater had delivered a diagonal cross from the right that Leon Broadhurst headed back across the face of the six-yard box for Dyson to nod home.
In an entertaining clash Stourbridge had a host of chances to seal victory but a single strike proved enough.
Hackett was particularly pleased with the continued good form of his goalkeeper Lewis Solly and his defenders.
He added: "Strikers always seem to get the praise but I think on Tuesday and in the last few weeks Lewis and any of the four centre halves who have played have been excellent."
The Glassboys will welcome Dunstable Town to the War Memorial on Saturday (3pm kick-off) before travelling to promotion chasing rivals Chesham United on Tuesday evening (7.45pm kick-off).
The manager will have Morgan Brookes back available for the fixtures but will still be without Ryan Broadhurst (ankle) and is sweating on the fitness of left wing-back Damian Whitcombe who was withdrawn an hour into the Bishops Cleeve clash due to a foot injury.
