Old Swinford Hospital School's (OSH) U14s rugby team completed a successful Midlands State Cup campaign when they beat Lady Manners School at Leicester Tigers, Welford Road ground.

Lady Manners took an early lead with a converted try in the fourth minute of play.

But OSH replied only minutes later with the first of Matthew Aihie's three tries to make it 7-5.

Further first-half tries were scored by Aihie, Max Stelling and Essa Attah to give them a slender 15-14 lead.

The second-half saw Dev Surae drive over for a good forwards try, which was converted by Stelling.

From the kick-off OSH launched another attack from within their half to see Aihie' out-pace his opposite number to score deep in the corner.

With 10 minutes to go Aihie scored his third try which Stelling converted. This took the score to 34-14 and out of reach for Lady Manners.

The man of the match prize was awarded to Will Harris.
