STOURBRIDGE RFC U16s put in a sterling performance in the North Midlands Cup Final at Luctonians on Sunday but came out second best to an outstanding Worcester team.
Stourbridge had to contend with early pressure from Worcester and conceded four unconverted tries in the first quarter of the game.
However, from there on the team gave a performance of great spirit and did not concede another score until early in the second half which was once again unconverted. Matt Willettes finally broke through the Worcester defence to score and with the conversion by Sam Baker the deficit was reduced to 25-7.
Worcester completed the scoring in the final minute with a further unconverted try.
