WORCESTER Warriors' Gloucester-bound Val Rapava Ruskin will be banned for their final Aviva Premiership game of the season against Leicester Tigers at Sixways on Saturday (4pm).

The charge against the prop for acts contrary to good sportsmanship, contrary to law 10.4(m), was heard in Bristol tonight.

Rapava Ruskin pleaded guilty and was given a six-week suspension.

He is free to play again on Monday, September 4.

The hearing heard the prop pushed match official Greg Garner in the back with both hands during the first half of the Premiership match between Worcester and Newcastle Falcons and he was subsequently cited following the match.

The RFU disciplinary panel said: “The panel heard from the player and after carefully considering all of the available evidence found this was at the lower end of seriousness for this type of offending.

"The panel imposed a sanction of six weeks which reflects the seriousness of making contact with a referee or any match official.”

The panel comprised of chairman Daniel White, John Vale and Nick Dark.
