EVANS Josephine Anne 'Jo' Passed away peacefully on January 23rd 2019 aged 65 years. Jo will be dearly missed by all her loving family and friends. Funeral service is to take place at Stourbridge Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 21st February at 11.00am. Family flowers only please, donations if desired are being gratefully accepted for the Georgina Unit at Russells Hall Hospital by H. Porter & Sons Funeral Directors, Old Church house, 60 South Road, Stourbridge DY8 3UJ.

I am so sorry to have missed this at the time. I was just searching the net to see if there was any news on Jo and I found this; she had told me she was ill in December 2018, and I am glad I was able to write to her then. Long, long ago, 1979-1981, when I was still Jane Stemp, we were members of the Uphill Ski Club together and shared a room. I can only have seen her once or twice after that in the 80s, but somehow we maintained tenuous contact by Christmas card. Happy memories. My condolences to all her friends and family.
