Notice of Making an Order Highways Act 1980 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 The Wiltshire Council Parish of Malmesbury Path No. 7 (Part) Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2019
The above order, made on 12 August 2019, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish part of footpath Malmesbury no. 7 from OS Grid ref. ST9360 8806 where it divides from the main path to its junction with the A.429 at OS Grid ref. ST9392 8821. Width 0.6 to 0.9 m. Approx. length 410 metres. If confirmed the order will also have the effect of modifying the Malmesbury Rural District Council Area definitive map and statement dated 1952 accordingly.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of Rights of Way and Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN 0900 -1700 Mon to Fri. Copies of the order may be bought there (£5). Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to S Madgwick, Rights of Way and Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN, not later than 1700 hrs on 23 September 2019. Please state the grounds on which they are made.If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Wiltshire Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) A4 Black Dog Hill (Part), Calne
Without; from a point 110 metres east of Studleybrook Farm for a distance of approximately 30 metres in an easterly direction to enable Ringway to carry out bridge maintenance works. Alternative route: via A4 (unaffected length) - A342 - A3102 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 September 2019 and the closure will be required nightly between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 until 25 September 2019. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: B) Cold Harbour Lane (Part), Marlborough; from property known as Ellisten for a distance of approximately 20 metres in a south easterly direction to enable Thames Water to repair a service pipe. Alternative route: via Cold Harbour Lane (unaffected length) - Lainey's Close - Blowhorn Street - St Martins and vice versa. Keynes; from its junction with Happy Land for a distance of approximately 265 metres in a south easterly direction to enable Utilities Direct to lay a reinforcement water main and associated works. Alternative route: via High
Road (unaffected length) - B4696 - B4040 - Waterhay - Happy Land and
vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 August 2019 and the closure will be required until 17 September 2019. For further information please contact Utilities Direct on 01933 220960. D) A342 (Part), Calne Without and Bromham; from its junction with A3102 to its junction with A4 to enable Tarmac to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via A4 - A3102 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 August 2019 and the closure will be required until 06 September 2019. E) Rodbourne, Malmesbury St Paul Without; from its junction with Grange Lane to its junction with Rodbourne Road to enable Avonline to carry out excavation works to lay cable. Alternative route: via Rodbourne Road - A429 - Grange Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 August 2019 and the closure will be required until 09 September 2019. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
