PLANS to demolish a bungalow in Brierley Hill and build four houses have been put forward to Dudley Council.

The proposals includes flattening 2 Exchange Street and erecting four three bedroom houses, each with car parking space for two cars.

If given the go ahead each house will have an entrance hall, an open plan living space and a double bedroom, family bathroom and two singles bedrooms on the first floor.

The design and access statement sates: "The proposed dwellings would be built in similar architectural style and character to the surrounding area. There is attractive landscaping throughout the scheme. The proposals would represent a significant planning gain which would further enhance and improve the area.

"It is felt that aesthetically the site will blend well with the existing surrounding buildings, bringing a modern and attractive injection to the area whilst remaining architecturally sympathetic to the local buildings, in particular to the properties surrounding the site.

"Each dwelling will have its own private gently sloping driveway.

"Each dwelling will have secure gated side access, leading to ample rear amenity space. Three of the properties will have gardens well in excess of general standards."
