NEW Orleans Bump are ‘opening the batting’ at Halesowen Cricket Club as they kick start the new season of jazz.
The local favourites, who evolved a couple of years ago from the New Georgia Jazz Band, have since gone from strength to strength.
They will be playing at the Dogkennel Lane club on Sunday, September 16, with the concert signalling the start of the autumn and winter season of the popular Sunday night traditional jazz sessions.
Trevor Jones, club organiser, said: “New Orleans Bump play lively, happy jazz, which is always well received by their audience.
“Following the success of the Halesowen Jazz Day in July, which was part of the Birmingham Jazz Festival, I am hoping that we might recruit a few more enthusiasts to our audience.”
The evening runs from 8pm until 10.30pm and admission on the door costs £5.
