X-FACTOR band The Reason have dedicated more than a decade to becoming a group Simon Cowell described as “one of my favourite groups this year”.

The four lads from Southampton spent time in Stourbridge recently talking to The Base Sessions about life at the judges house on the top TV talent show.

Before finding their x-factor, the quartet all worked in full time jobs during the day while they developed their musical talents after meeting at school 13 year ago.

Although they failed to get the final rounds of the X-Factor, The Reason still look set for a big 2011, they will be releasing their debut single, also called The Reason, in March followed by a debut album in April.

The band, Scott, Glenn, Nathan and Marc have also been on the road supporting acts including Olly Murs, Peter Andre and The Wanted, and appearing on a range of TV shows.

Despite their success the band say they are still down-to-earth lads who are enjoying each day by achieving their dream of making and performing music.

Glenn said: “We believe that we came together for a reason, that’s why I came up with the name, The Reason, because everything happens for a reason.”
