REAL ale fans will be able to sample more than 30 brews as an annual Halesowen winter beer festival marks its 15th year.

A range of ciders and country fruit wines will also feature in the four-day event at the Coombs Wood Sports and Social Club, which kicks off tomorrow (Thursday January 25).

Event organiser Nick Jones said the Stewarts Road festival had grown to be one of biggest in area, adding: “It is always a great event and we expect another busy occasion, especially with the live entertainment on the Friday and Saturday evenings.”

Entertainment on Friday night will be provided by local a rock and blues cover group Dirty Lemonz, while Sheffield band Treebeard will appear on the Saturday.

Treebeard, a popular attraction on the pub and beer festival circuit, play folk, rock and pop covers, but done completely differently. Both shows will start from 9pm.

The club will be open from 6pm on Thursday, 4pm on Friday and 12.30pm on Saturday until midnight, and from noon until 4.30pm on Sunday.
