Sherlock star Louise Brealey is joining Anne-Marie Duff in a new play adapted from a trio of tales by DH Lawrence.
The actress, who plays pathologist Molly Hooper in the hit BBC series, will appear alongside Anne-Marie in Husbands and Sons, which is an adaptation of three plays inspired by Lawrence’s childhood in the Nottinghamshire coalfield.
Anne-Marie will play the wife of a miner who is killed in an accident at work. The actress, who shot to fame in Shameless, has previously appeared in Strange Interlude and Saint Joan at the National.
The play will be performed at the Dorfman Theatre on London’s Southbank from October, before moving to Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre for a month in February.
