A COMICAL Stourbridge theatre group is continuing its aim of giving local talent the chance to perform on stage with a brand new and original play.

The latest offering from A Comedy Theatre Group will be town writer and actor Laura Liptrot’s first full length play entitled ‘First Aid’.

The comedy drama tells the story of what happens when a group of people are thrown together to study a subject none of them have any knowledge of.

Take a retired teacher, a dispirited DJ, an alternative therapist, a hen-pecked husband, an office worker and her married workmate’s ex-boyfriend, a computer game addict, a young woman lost in love, a mother who can’t put her mobile phone down and then send them all on a first aid course led by a tutor who flees at the first signs of illness.

Somehow each one discovers what is missing from their lives… besides a first aid qualification.

The action takes place at Gigmill Methodist Church Hall, in Witton Street, on Friday, June 22, from 7.30pm, as well as at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, June 23.
