THE much-loved tale of Wind in the Willows will be brought to life at Himley Hall and Park this August.

The Attic Door’s acclaimed touring family production, featuring childhood favourite characters Ratty, Mole, Badger and the unstoppable Mr Toad,

will run at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday August 21.

Tickets cost £8 each and can be booked online from www.atticdoorproductions.co.uk/wind-in-the-willows.

Meanwhile - the Black Country Brass Band will perform in the park this Sunday (August 11) from 2.30pm to 5pm; and children can play in the park's huge summer sandpit which will be in the hall grounds until Thursday August 29.

An exhibition, Take 13 Artists, featuring paintings, textiles, mosaics, sculpture and mixed media work by 13 female artists living and working in the West Midlands, will also be open at the hall until the end of September.

Councillor Ian Kettle, Dudley's cabinet member responsible for halls, said: "Himley Hall and Park is a beautiful spot to take time out from busy schedules during the summer and it’s wonderful to see what’s on offer this August.

"The Wind in the Willows performance looks set to be the perfect piece of holiday fun and I am sure the entertainment will prove popular with families."
