THE Community Players of Hawbush are staging their latest comedy outing this week.

The group's version of Haywire by Eric Chappell runs at The Oakfield Centre, Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill, until Saturday September 13.

Seasoned amateur thespian Greg Wilde, who stars as middle-aged book seller Alec Firth – who is having an affair with his assistant, will be joined on stage for the first time by his son Jordan – who plays Alec's son James Firth.

Familiar faces Claire Lax, Tracey Riley and Thelma Harper are among those who also star, along with newcomer Samantha Rawlings.
