ENVILLE Street Dramatic Society is getting set to stage Noel Coward farce Blithe Spirit later this month.
The production runs at St Thomas’ Church Hall, Market Street, Stourbridge, from Tuesday November 25 to Saturday November 29.
It will be the second time the society has staged the popular play about Charles Condomine and his second wife Ruth who are haunted by the ghost of Charles’s first wife Elvira.
Directed by Martin Francis and assisted by Sue Whitehead, the play stars popular stage regular Simon Cooper as Charles, amateur actress Chrissie Thomas as the ghostly Elvira and society veteran Gaynor Wiltshire as medium Madame Arcati - the part famously played by Margaret Rutherford in the 1941 stage outing at London’s Piccadilly Theatre in 1941.
Tickets are available from Carey Esthop on 01384 372930 or from Books Unlimited, Lower High Street, Stourbridge.
