ASPIRING Stourbridge stage star Isabelle Westley-Smith has a starring role in a production of The Sound of Music running at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre this week.
The nine-year-old Greenfield Primary School pupil was selected from nearly 200 other hopefuls to land the role of Gretl - the youngest of the Von Trapp family - in the much-loved musical being staged by South Staffs Musical Theatre Company.
Keen ballet, tap and disco dancer Isabelle, who attends Stourbridge’s Esther Stanford Drama Workshop and Neat Feet Dance School, has been rehearsing since the spring and will be appearing in the show running from Tuesday October 9 to Saturday October 13.
Proud mum Judith said: "We are all so thrilled; it's been a busy few months but Isabelle has enjoyed every minute.”
