GREENFIELD Primary School's festive fair will be themed around the Twelve Days of Christmas.

Staff and pupils have been busy decking the halls with pears and partridges in preparation for for the event - taking place on Friday November 24 from 6pm until 8pm.

Organised by the Home and School Association, it will feature a host of attractions and stalls, Santa and his grotto, carol singing, raffle, and the chance to buy and make festive gifts and decorations.

Headteacher Jeanette Mackinney said: "The Christmas fair is always such a lovely event - it's great to see the whole school get involved and it helps our HSA to raise really important funds for the school."

Money raised from this event will go towards new playground games, markings for activities like hopscotch and new tables and benches for the school's new garden.

Admission is 50p.
