A NORTON man was flown to hospital after a car rolled off a driveway and ran over his leg.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a property off Roman Road in Norton, Stourbridge shortly before 11.45am this morning (Saturday).
An ambulance, a responder paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The car reportedly rolled off a driveway and collided with the man, rolling over his leg.
“The man, believed to be in his 30s, sustained a significant lower leg injury which was bleeding heavily.
“Ambulance crews worked as a team to administer pain relief to the man whilst applying pressure to the wound to stem the bleeding.
“They then used specialised dressings to bandage the wound to stop the bleeding before immobilising his leg. The man was then placed into a scoop stretcher before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency treatment.”
