A BUSY Lye street was closed this morning (Friday) after a car mounted the pavement and crashed into a telephone kiosk, parking stumps and a lamp post.
Emergency services arrived at the scene in High Street at 5.46am following a 999 call.
The male driver was checked over by paramedics but did not require treatment.
Fire crews made the vehicle safe and cordoned off the area ready for Dudley Council's highways team to remove the lamp post, which had become unstable.
The road reopened at 7.30am.
