THOUSANDS of people got into the festive spirit at Merry Hill's Christmas lights switch on.
The event quickly sold out as shoppers were eager to catch a glimpse of X Factor winners Little Mix as they performed on stage on Friday (November 14).
The girl band got the audience in the party mood as they blitzed through hits including Salute and DNA before showing off their vocal talents with an a capella rendition of How Ya Doin.
Before their performance, lead singer Perrie Edwards told the News: "I'm very excited, it'll get us in the Christmas mood."
Band mate Leigh-Anne Pinnock added: "I love the Birmingham crowd."
Jade Thirlwall said fans were in for a "fun show with lots of energy" and by the screams that came from the crowds during their 30 minute set, they did not disappoint.
The band were joined by Britain's Got Talent finalists Bars & Melody and Free Radio hosts Sam and Mark to switch on the Brierley Hill shopping centre's lights.
All proceeds from the event went to Help Harry Help Others.
