PEOPLE can go green and recycle their Christmas trees at Webbs Garden Centre, West Hagley, until Wednesday (January 7).
The garden centre in Kidderminster Road South is offering the free service which will see trees made into chippings which will then be composted for a year and used around the grounds and gardens at the store as mulch.
Webbs executive chairman Ed Webb said: “People are much more environmentally aware and keen to recycle wherever possible. Having the tree recycling initiative right here on the doorstep makes it simple and hassle-free for local people to do their bit.“ Last year more than 500 trees were recycled using the free service at Webbs, which also has a store at Wychbold, and Mr Webb hopes it will prove even more popular this year.
