WORDSLEY post office will close later this month to make way for a “vibrant new-style” branch.
The post office, based at Spar, in Wordsley Green Shopping Centre, will undergo extensive refurbishment before re-opening a newly modernised base.
When the branch reopens on April 2 it will feature three counter positions, one open-plan, one screened and an open-plan Post Office terminal by the shop’s retail till.
The opening hours will also increase by more than 60 hours a week, with new opening times of 7am until 11pm, seven days a week.
Caroline Pritchard, area manager, said: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.
“We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.”
The post office will close at 5.30pm on Tuesday, March 24 for the refurbishment to take place.
During the closure period, post office services may be accessed from the Grenville Drive Post Office, in Kingswinford, or Wollaston Post Office, in Bridgnorth Road.
