OAKHILL Optical Laboratory Ltd can look forward to a brighter future after a deal brought the Lye firm out of administration.
The Pedmore Road firm has been bought by J S Optical of Kidderminster - securing the jobs of 20 employees.
Oakhill has been making ophthalmic lenses for the past 33 years and supplies opticians across the length and breadth of Great Britain including prestigious customers such as Boots.
Company manager Julian Harding confirmed: "We came out of administration last Friday and the most important thing is that everyone's job has been saved.
"Our customers have remained very loyal and many of them are now coming back to us.
"It's a new chapter following what has been a very dark cloud hanging over us.
"There's already been investment with new equipment and the company is now back in profit again."
